Chasing the Cause or the Symptoms?

I've gotten used to seeing everyone chasing the symptoms of lipidema: abnormal fat, pain, inflammation and supressed mobility.
But that's not good enough.
Why are we not discovering what is causing the inflammation, the abnormal fat?  It's easy to say "Take this medication for your headache and the pain will go away (for 4 hours; then it will come back, again.)".  It's quite another to isolate the actual cause of the headache and make THAT go away so you have no need of medication because there is no pain in the first place.
We'll never get to the solution if we merely treat symptoms with liposuction and compression.
My opinion is that lipidemic symptoms are not a disease, but are messengers of underlying causes that need to be discovered and removed if any actual healing is to occur.
In my wellness business, when I am foot zoning someone and I come across an area affected by trapped emotion, I know that unless I release that negative energy, the physical changes cannot occur. But once released, the pain is immediately diminished and the physical pathways are opened or unblocked.
We need to look at more than the size of our legs/arms and look at the underlying causes to find a cure.

Heal Spiritually before Healing Physically

I found out --again-- that dieting still is not the solution for me.  Do I eat junk food?  Not much.  I drink fresh juiced fruits and vegetables, eat mostly what I've cooked at home using whole foods, watch my fat intake, pay attention to all the right and wrong ingredients, etc.  No effect.  No change.  No release of the trapped toxic fluids.
But I'm an emotional "bottler".  Some of my trapped emotions have turned up being "feeling dead in the water", "drowning", "sinking", "stuck", "blocked", not "flowing".  I noticed that these are all terms related to water.  Bad water.  Stagnant, toxic water.  And I look at my family history.  My GGGGrandfather settled in Kentucky by a toxic water source.  His wife gave all of their children whiskey ever day of their lives just to try to kill the viruses.  So my GGGrandfather became alcoholic.  His son contracted chronic malaria from the deadly waters, and his son, my Grandfather, was born with hydroencephalitis ("water on the brain") and wasn't expected to live.  But he did.  My mother and I now have lipedema.
There is a chronic dysfunction regarding water "running through" our family genealogy.
Does this ring a bell with anyone out there?  Is there history of toxic waters?  Are you an emotion bottler?  Do you have traumatic memories attached to water? Are there spiritual or emotional issues that you think are linked to your swelling?   I'd love to hear from you.

Clearing the Biofield (You have a biofield even if you don't know what that is yet.)

I've been very intrigued by some  training videos I saw recently on youtube.com by Eileen McKusick, in which she demonstrated her ability to listen carefully to changes in the tone of a tuning fork to access and harness incoherent energies in her patients' biofield, (energy space immediately surrounding living organisms).  These energies had reference to unresolved negative emotions and their effect on the physical body.  The goal was to find, identify and then release the disharmony and positively affect associated physical pain levels in the areas of imbalance.  Apparently she has had good success with this for 20 years.
I've had personal experience with releasing negative energies in different ways, but my mind began to whirl when she mentioned that sadness seems to inhabit the right side of the biofield and anger the left side.  She also mentioned that these emotions and stratified and timelined.  I have not read her book, in which she says she has a biofield map already.  But I have charts of emotions so I made my own stratified 3D chart,

Solve Lipidema (Lipedema, RADs, Heavy Legs Syndrome) together

This blog is devoted to the more personal factors behind lipedema, It's our collective real experience combined with the most current research and remedies.  We've seen a global awareness growing in the past couple of years, and researchers are dedicated to finding answers in a collaborative framework.  Link to lipedema.blogspot.com and learntobereadyblog.com for more from Betty B. Ready.  I'm in this with you.  I have only my pieces of this puzzle to share, but if everyone just brings his/her puzzle pieces to the table, we can solve this together..

Dr. Bradley Nelson's book The Emotion Code--Review

In May of 2014 I discovered a book, or process, called The Emotion Code by Bradley Nelson.  I would never have supposed how drastically that book has changed my way of thinking about my aches and pains, my lymphatic congestion or other lifelong pains.  Today I can say with complete confidence that emotional healing is easy, natural and vital to our health.  I incorporate Dr. Nelson's process with essential oils, cymatics and reflexology to enhance his procedures, and with that I'm making exciting progress.  Please watch his youtube videos.

Would You Be Seen Wearing a Swimsuit?

So........I live near the beach, and I'm a people watcher.  Now that I know I have lipidema myself and how to generally spot it in others, I notice a lot of things when I look around at everyone in their beachwear. One person with an obviously exaggerated pear shape wears a full-length dress. Those around her pass around Oreos, and drink sodas and other beverages.  She has water.
Another person who seems to show lipedema symptoms wears long pants and eats a pear while others in bikinis eat hot dogs and chips. I am too embarrassed to be seen in a swimsuit myself.  It's just ironic that those paying the most attention to diet and nutrition are sometimes the least able to show it.

Do you also have any of these other symptoms of Lipidema (Lipoedema, Lipedema)

We all know that lipidema (lipedema) causes you to have painful fat, abnormal weight gain, heavy legs, etc.  But there are lots of other symptoms that I have, despite all my efforts, that I would like to see of others have.  Do you have any of the following too:
The pupils in my eyes (especially left eye) can't stay constricted for 5 seconds when bright lights go on
My basal body temperature averages 76.1, under my left arm is 76.5 and right arm is 75.5
My body temperature is erratic and looks like a raging zigzag when measured through the day
I have had hot flashes for 16 years regardless of

Balanced Healing by Larry Altshuler, M.D.

I found a wonderful reference book.  It's called Balanced Healing: Combining Modern Medicine with Safe & Effective Alternative Therapies.  Larry Altshuler is " doctor of Internal Medicine with [over] 25 years of experience in alternative therapies."  I've been thumbing through this book with excitement because
